The Concept...
Debuting this year is an exciting new division of J Bar D Studios, Inc.—USAHorses. We are taking our successful website and making it a cost-effective way for you to successfully market your stallion services along with your horses for sale—Cooperative Advertising. This involves two elements. Both are necessary because they work together.
The first element is an online posting of your horse(s). These online listings will be separated by categories—horses for sale and stallion services. From there, for easy browsing, online listings will be separated by breed and discipline (e.g., reiners, rope horses, youth/amateur horses, etc.). You will be able to cross list your horse in as many divisions as appropriate—giving you more exposure for each horse that you list. This gives you immediate listing and exposure.
The second element is exposure and promotion of the site with consistent cooperative advertising in major national and regional magazines for each major division (e.g., Quarter Horse Journal, Paint Horse Journal, Appaloosa Journal, The Reiner, Maverick Press, The Horse Trader). What makes this such an effective way to help market your horse is: (1) by promoting the site, you receive instant exposure when you place your horse on the site; (2) with consistent exposure in the important magazines every month advertised brings more people to the website listings; and (3) cooperative advertising gives you a cost effective way to reach thousands of potential buyers that would otherwise cost you thousands of dollars in advertising.
The Logistics...
Element One: Online Listings
Listing For Sale and Stallion Listings— Per horse includes 2 photos, 5-generation pedigree, short paragraph about the horse, and one division listing.
—Listing Price $50.00
—Show record (in table form) $15.00
—Additional division listings $10.00 each
—Additional photos $5.00 each
—Multi-horse discount, 10 or more, listing price $30.00 each horse
—Have your horse featured on the menus for divisions $50.00/month (depends on availability)
—Have your horse highlighted under each division $30.00/month
For those ranches and trainers who build a website with J Bar D Studios, Inc., the listing price and one division listing is complementary for each horse promoted on their website. Additional division listings and photos are priced as listed above.
The biggest advantage for you to list your horse(s) on the USAHorses website is that you get the benefit of the cooperative advertising exposure and promotion of the website in the leading equine publications. That exposure and promotion brings more volume to the site, more people browsing for horses, and worldwide 24/7 listings of your horse(s).
Element Two: Cooperative Advertising
The prices listed include the cost for the advertisement creation and to put it in the publications.
Example Publications: Appaloosa Journal, Paint Horse Journal, Quarter Horse Journal, The Reiner, and others relevant to our clients.
—Overall cost per page (The numbers of pages in each journal is dependent on number of featured horses. For every nine featured horses a new page is added) is a maximum of $200 per horse (price based on the cost of major national publications--the cost for regional and local publications will be adjusted based on the per page cost).
—Featured horses are those promoted in the advertisements. The total cost of the advertisement, per page, is divided between the 9 featured horses on each page. To put this into perspective--to get exposure in one of the major breed journals would ordinarily cost you over $1400 with the cost of the ad placement and cost of having the ad put together by a professional. With cooperative advertising, the same ad shared with only 8 other horses will only cost you $200--less than even the cost of placing your horse in the stallion directory in the back of the publications.
—Some of the advantages of being a featured advertiser with USAHorses.com include: (1) a cost-effective way to have your horse recognized in magazines targeting your horse market; (2) featured horses are always listed first under the divisions to which they belong—this brings your horse(s) to the top of the crop when people browse for horses; and (3) establish brand recognition with a site that promotes the listing of quality horses on the site.
—For those who want to rely on traffic to the website, but still want to have their horse(s) more easily noticed, you can choose to have your horse be a highlighted listing. On each division listing page, immediately after our featured horses, your horse(s) can be listed as a highlighted listing.
